 "Aloe"  This plant was growing in front of our resort on our recent trip to Scottsdale, along with 80 other varieties of Cactus.  I may have enhanced the color just a touch!!

January 24, 2012 "The Whipple House" I started going to summer workshops at LCCC in Cheyenne about 8 years ago, and fell in love with this old house, and have many photos of it.  It housed a fabulous restaurant, where you could sit in several rooms, your pick, the library, den, etc. and the food was great.  Then a couple years ago, I was excited to take my sister there, and it was boarded up and on the market. Now it is home to an art gallery/art supply store.

Was out walking the dog a few years back, and realized the front of our house would be a great subject, so grabbed my paints and sat in the front yard and painted this - Trees have grown up so high now, that this view is no longer visible. Glad I captured it when I did!

A stop on the way back from the Road to Hana, returned the next year, and was surprised that the front was solid windows! I painted it as it was the year before, evidently recovering from a hurricane which had blown out all the windows, hence the plywood storefront!

A Painting a Day

I am going to publish a painting a day, every day, for the next year.  Some may be older, some new, some quick sketches, or value studies, or final masterpieces.  I'm doing this solely for me-to make sure I stay motivated and on track, and to remember, even though I may have many other obligations and responsibilities in my life, I NEED to create for me, and for my sanity!
